These sharks pressure tiny flora and animals out of the water that enters their mouths as they swim.

SHARKS ARE FISH
A shark is a fish that lives withinside the sea. Sharks have lived on Earth for nearly four hundred million years. Today, there are approximately 375 species (kinds) of sharks. The smallest is the dwarf dogfish, much less than eight inches (20 centimeters) long. The big whale shark may be extra than 50 feet (15 meters) long.

WHERE SHARKS LIVE?
Sharks stay in seas everywhere in the world. Most sharks stay in hotter waters. However, sharks had been noticed close to the North and South poles. Sharks stay in saltwater, however a few can stay for some time in freshwater. Bull sharks, for example, can swim up the Mississippi River. Some sorts of sharks stay in shallow water alongside coastlines. Other sharks stay some distance out withinside the open ocean. A few species stay deep down withinside the sea.
